Information and Communication Technology as Constructive tool:


Constructive tools are all significant tools used in manipulation of retrieved information, knowledge construction and visualization of understanding. Primarily constructive approach emphasizes on construction of knowledge on their own where learner are considered as discoverer and maker of knowledge and students are active participants in teaching and learning process. 


And the constructivist approach and information and communication technology has strong and significant relation in terms that we generates new ways of teaching and learning through technology, helps learner construct knowledge from online in absence of teacher, and helps students to research on their studies and courses by using wide range of resources from the net. Constructive software tools like Microsoft word and PowerPoint have a very strong adhere in education sectors as well in wide range of other organization. Mostly it is used in the form of memos, letter, report and presentation.


In the teaching and learning scenario, constructive tools like Microsoft word assists students to correct texts and sentences, word processor includes dictionaries and grammar checkers and with this features user can create and produce new write up or article. Similarly PowerPoint is a presentation graphics software used for developing presentation slides and creates something new with using features of animation, design, styles where teachers need not have to use board for teaching and learning. In addition Microsoft excels is also software where students learn to insert, design any statistical data that can be automated through formula.

Information and Communication Technology as Communicative tool:

Information and Communication technology as communicative tools allows efficient communication between teacher and students, between student and students, or between teacher and parents to discuss about the progress of the students learning or either beyond it depending upon time, space and place. For example like, such as e-mail, and online discussion forum are the examples of technology software we used for communication.

Basically under the technology as communicative tools we have learnt that there are two different types of communication namely synchronous (real time) communication where two people must be connected simultaneously at same time. This type of communication enables real time communication that can also be used as instructional activities and helps students to address their issues or problems and get solved immediately. Some synchronous communicative tools are; telephone call, videoconferencing and etc…

The second one is asynchronous where the people are not required to be logged on internet at same time. This type of communication tools is tools is used if in case the activities need longer time to think before responding. Examples like: e-mail, we-chat and etc…

Moreover we have also learnt what, how and why blog in education. Blog is an online journal or informational websites where a writer or even a group of writer shares their views on specific subjects. Using blog has adverse impact on children learning where it motivates students to become better reader and writer, promote collaborative learning and promote autonomous learning by making them control over their own learning.

Information and communication technology consist of many useful and significant tools that aids classroom teaching and learning. In this 21st century we can get access to or discover the world within few seconds and just by sitting in front of the desktop. Technology also plays significant role in being used as a tool or giving access to different resource. And we have also learnt that information and communication technology as informative tool is an application that affords coherent information in various formats such as text, sounds, video or graphics. Therefore students reading a text stored online, listening to audio, and watching tutorial or just simply looking at image and making meaning basically enhance their knowledge about particular things or the content.


Using information and communication technology as informative tool have great advantage over students learning where they learn to integrate related ideas, learn to analyze and interpret what been found on source, develop information search skills, enhance critical thinking, and learn to evaluate resources on internet. So information and communication technology as informative tool is very significant in e- Learning.



Technology as informative tools is also a crucial and relevant tool that aid teacher to provide classroom teaching and learning very effective and conducive. This provide better way for student  to learn in their won independently and gets every individual an opportunity to explore, think critically, activate their knowledge and learn how to integrate relevant resource from the open sources and learn and value technology as a main source of information in their learning. Most profound internet is been considered as virtual text, reference and cybernetic tutor in e- learning program.
